About Me

Hi, I'm Madelyn Matthews! I’m a NYC based dancer, actress, singer and currently study at IAMT under Michael Minarik, Tonna Miller, Lindsay Lancaster and more. 

 

I was born and raised in Indianapolis, Indiana, loving corn almost as much as performing. 

Stuck with a toddler bouncing off the walls, my mom put me in dance classes at the studio across the street. (thanks mom!) I discovered my love of dancing (and making loud noises with my tap shoes), and haven’t stopped since. I have extensive training in ballet, jazz, theatre dance, tap, commercial dance, contemporary, modern, and hip hop. 

 

I was bitten by the musical theatre bug at 9 after watching Les Misérables, and continue to scream “One Day More” to this day. I feel so lucky to be able to live and perform in NYC. 

 

Aside from performing, you can find me spending time with friends & family, reading, cuddling with my cat Cricket, or at the beach. I am excited to continue to grow as a human and performer, creating and sharing my passion with others.
